MPU-6050 3-Axis Accelerometer and Gyro Sensor

Build responsive motion-sensing projects with the MPU-6050 Triple-Axis Accelerometer & Gyroscope Module, a compact 6-axis IMU that combines a 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope in a single sensor. It provides digital motion data over the I²C interface, making it easy to connect with popular development boards such as Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi and other microcontrollers.

The accelerometer measures linear acceleration along the X, Y and Z axes, while the gyroscope measures angular velocity around those same axes. With programmable measurement ranges, the MPU-6050 can be adapted for applications ranging from basic tilt and orientation sensing to robotics, balancing systems and motion-controlled interfaces. The sensor also includes a built-in Digital Motion Processor (DMP), which can help handle motion-processing tasks and reduce the processing workload on the host controller.

The MPU6050 offers precise tracking for both quick and gradual movements. It includes a user-programmable gyroscope with a full-scale range of ±250, ±500, ±1000, and ±2000°/sec (DPS). Additionally, it features a user-programmable accelerometer with a full-scale range of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, and ±16g.
